The SMHO Board of Commissioners holds meetings on the second Thursday of each month at 5 p.m. at our main office in Littleton, 5601 S Broadway, Suite 250. The 2026 meetings are scheduled for January 8, February 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, August 13, September 10, October 8, November 12 and December 10. Welcome to South Metro Housing Options (SMHO), a provider of affordable housing solutions in Littleton and Arapahoe County, Colorado. Since 1971, we have been dedicated to strengthening our community by offering a variety of housing options responsive to the needs of our residents and the broader community.
SMHO is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Littleton City Council. We own and manage over 500 affordable housing units across six communities, and also administer over 600 Housing Choice Vouchers. We aim to provide access to quality, affordable housing to help create a vibrant and productive community of choice.
Through our creative housing programs and ethical stewardship of public funds, SMHO upholds a commitment to serving the affordable housing needs of our local area. We invite you to explore the housing options, resources, and community initiatives we have to offer.
